How to Control Which iOS Apps can Access Your Personal Data?

Many essential iOS apps need to access your personal data. A camera app may want to access your camera roll. Skype may want to access all your contacts. Today, I want to share some of the tips that describes how you can control which iOS apps can access your private data like photos, contacts and calendars.

First you need to go to Settings -> Privacy in to your iOS device.

By using above given screen, you can manage your privacy settings for each type of your personal data like if you tap on contacts, you will get a list of apps that have asked for access to your contacts list.

You may have given access to some of the apps when the app was first launched, now you can revoke it by just tapping round button in to right direction.

And so on, You can control all your private data by tapping on individual option like Calendars, Photos & Health.

However, these tips come up with caution. Sometimes you won't be able to access some of the apps after revoking permission.

App may ask for permission again & again. I suggest you to grant permission on an as-needed basis if you like to protect your private data from these apps.

Extra Tip for Privacy Loving People & Celebrities: It is always a good idea to turn off location services for some of the apps while you're waiting for your flight to board so no one can track you.
